Kotchoubey mansion
White Hall
THE GREAT HALL
The White Hall (or The Great Hall) was the principal room of the mansion intended for hosting dance and music gatherings like balls and soirees. It is made in Empire style: the interior is in light pastel colours, with an abundance of stucco ornaments, zoned with porticos, dividing the space into small cozy alcoves. The decorations of the columns are made of artificial marble, while their bases are out of Bianco Carrara marble. The window sills are made of Green Swedish Marble.

THE fireplace
The fireplace of white marble is decorated following N. Lansere and V. Romanov designs, it has been preserved to this day without significant changes. Same holds true for the stucco ceiling rosette and round medallions with images of dancing women.
